Before last Saturday's match against Market Drayton Town, Eagles 'keeper George Scott was presented with the First Division South Goalkeeper of the Month Award for February by North West Counties League Ambassador, Andrew Reid. He received a pair of Reusch sponsored goalkeeping gloves in recognition of his performances over the month.

George joined Eccleshall in October and in the three qualifying games played in February, he only conceded one goal and kept two clean sheets. Since arriving at the Stoke Signage Stadium, he has given a great deal of confidence to the Eagles back line and has proved a calming influence in the team's recent run of good form.

Following the presentation, George played his part in helping Eccleshall to three points with a 3-1 victory - a result which lifted the Eagles into the play-off positions with three games left to play. His form will be pivotal as the club aims for its highest ever finishing position since joining the North West Counties League over twenty years ago.

Everyone at the club congratulates George on his well deserved award.
