EAGLES FUTURE LOOKING BRIGHT

EAGLES FUTURE LOOKING BRIGHT

Jim Tunney7 Jan - 15:47

Focus on the juniors

The recent festive period allowed our Under 11s and Under 10s to play each other on the junior pitch at the Stoke Signage Stadium and, for the younger team, an opportunity to play a 9 v 9 game for the first time.

After the match, both the players and their parents held a gathering in the clubhouse and enjoyed the chance to take advantage of the club facilities on offer. In what was a great way to round off what had been a successful event, all the players were presented with an Eccleshall FC hoodie thanks to Under 11s manager Simon Dawson winning a recent Arnold Clark competition.

Club Vice Chairman, Andy Gough, who was present at the match, said: "Well done to both teams on what was a great match and really competitive. It showcased the young talent that we have coming through at the club and are all of high ability. These young players are the future of Eccleshall FC".

Junior Chairman, Dan Chell, added: "It was pleasing to see the quality of the young players on show, with two teams doing extremely well at their respective age groups. For the coming 2025/26 season, Eccleshall FC are looking to grow their junior section, particularly in the Under 7 to Under 10 age groups. Anyone interested in joining our club, please don't hesitate to contact us as we look to develop the pathway from grass roots all the way through to our men's and women's first teams".
